Wisconsin Dells Summer vacation-Part 2

As noted in my previous post, we spent our summer family vacation in Wisconsin dells.  From Sunday, August 12-16th we were with our friends & from Friday, August 17th-Tuesday, August 21 it was just our family.  We did a lot of fun things including taking a ride on the Riverside & Great Northern Railway, going to Alligator Alley & spending lots of time at Mount Olympus Water & Theme park where our resort was located.  Here are some photos from our adventures from the 2nd part of our trip:

THE RIVERSIDE & GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY
This was a fun little adventure that I would recommend to anyone traveling to the dells with young children.  It's a small 15 inch gauge railroad & it travels only 3 miles through the canyon & wooded areas.  Kids 3 & under are free & the ride was short enough that they didn't lose interest, even Alaina.  It was a lot of fun!

ALLIGATOR ALLEY
This was probably the most fascinating part of our trip.  It was a little brown building hidden in plain sight across from the Mt. Olympus water park & since we had some time to burn, we decided to check it out.   This will probably most definitely be a place we will visit again.  They had so many things, including a two headed turtle, two headed snake, albino python, albino alligator, albino snapping turtles, dwarf & regular alligators, lizards, pythons, anaconda & toads.  The most interesting part was the option to buy & feed either a mouse, rat or meat to one of the animals.

MOUNT OLYMPUS INDOOR/OUTDOOR WATER & THEME PARK
The idea of going to a water park with small children is a lot more fun than actually being there (at least for me).  Mikayla is finally at an age where she can enjoy many water rides with Randall, but Nolan & Alaina are just too small yet & Nolan really has no interest, not even for the small kiddie slides.  Most of the water fun was for Randall & Mikayla while I watched Nolan & Alaina in the room at the resort. Luckily, we don't just plan our dells trip around the waterpark, but were able to enjoy the indoor/outdoor theme park as well.  Nolan enjoys theme rides, just not water rides (not yet anyway).

Pegasus-The one wooden adult roller coaster Mikayla was tall enough to ride.  She loved it so much, she took turns riding with Randall & I over & over & over again.
Mikayla & Randall with their hands up.  Don't worry, no big drops on this one, which is why Mikayla was able to ride.

Alaina was such a good & patient baby.  She spent many days watching the fun from her stroller & didn't seem to mind.

We couldn't get Nolan to actually come down the slide, but he stood there just long enough for me to get a picture.
