Randall & Mikayla relaxing in our cabin before bed on Sunday night.
On Monday morning we went to the indoor pool at our resort. It always takes Nolan a couple minutes to get used to the water. You'll see in later pics he's nice & relaxed.

Now this is the life.

On Sunday, August 22, 2010, we drove to Wisconsin Dells for a much needed, week long family vacation. We stayed at Christmas Mountain Village & arrived around 4:30/5pm on Sunday afternoon. My parents were able to come with us as well. Our cabin (#206) was a 1 bedroom with a loft & my parents stayed at the same resort in a 1 bedroom townhome (#823). Each had a full kitchen, so we were able to prepare & cook most of our meals throughout the week. The resort itself is very large, with many outdoor pools (a large clubhouse pool & smaller pools located in each section of townhomes, cabins, villas, etc...) & also an indoor pool with a couple small slides, teeter totter, swings for babies & basketball hoops. They even have a small pond for reserving paddleboats & canoes & an area to play sand volleyball & mini golf. We kept so busy during the week doing the tourist stuff, that we didn't take advantage of the pool & activities as much as we could have during the week.
Monday afternoon, my mom & I enjoyed some shopping at the Wisconsin Dells Craft & Antique Mall while the husbands & kids stayed at the cabins. After we got back, all of us enjoyed some time swimming in the outdoor pool. Monday evening, my parents & Randall tried their "not so much" luck at the local Ho-Chunk Casino, while I stayed with the kids.
Randall & Mikayla did some paddle boating & canoeing Wednesday afternoon while Nolan & I were napping in the cabin.
Most of our other adventures during the week can be seen in the rest of my blog postings. Enjoy!
