We spent both Thursday & Friday, August 26 & 27, enjoying the fun at the Mount Olympus Water & Theme Park. On my birthday (Aug. 26) my parents watched the kids for the day while Randall & I went to Mt. Olympus & enjoyed the wooden roller coasters, go carts & water rides. Hades was our ultimate favorite roller coaster. With a 65 degree drop, underground tunnels, & a top speed of about 70 mph, this is the type of coaster you hang on to & don't raise your arms for fear of losing your hands. After that fun, we had a nice (dare I say romantic) birthday dinner at the House of Embers restaurant. And when we got home the kids were already sleeping. It was a great birthday!

On Friday, August 27, we went back to Mt. Olympus (this time for more water than theme fun) with both my parents & our kids in tow. Mikayla's favorite part of this park was the indoor pirate ship, which included small slides perfect for her to do on her own. Unfortunately, this is also the day I accidentally dipped our camera in the water & it is now ruined. Mom's camera also stopped working for some unknown reason, so we were stuck with no way to take more pictures. Luckily, the memory card was saved & none of our pictures from vacation were ruined. Although, I was not able to get some pictures I had planned to take, such as a picture of our cabin, the original ducks boats, Ripley's museum, the large trojan horse go cart course at Mt. Olympus or the poseiden's rage surf pool at Mt. Olympus, which has large 9 foot waves that were amazingly fun to get swept away in. On the positive side, the camera was ruined at the end of our vacation & not the beginning.
