We were concerned with how bad has skin looked & the doctor gave us a prescription for Derma smooth (a body oil) to be used during flare ups. After only 1 use, we could already see a difference & have only had to use it about once or twice a week since his appointment. Luckily, his baby eczema has never made him fussy & does not seem to itch or bother him. It has, however, caused extremely dry patches on his body, especially his cheeks. We are hoping that he will eventually grow out of his eczema problem, but it may be something he will have to deal with throughout his life. It is a little more difficult to control the outbreak on his cheeks, since the body oil is something we do not want to get in his mouth or eyes. Through the suggestion of a friend, we just started using on Oct. 11, a moisturizing lotion & body wash called Cetaphil & that has been working great at keeping his cheeks moisturized without irritating them. We tried method, aveeno & eucerin lotions, but all still seemed to irritate his skin even though they were fragrance free. So, in future pictures you may or may not see Nolan's red cheeks.

Henry has had very sensitive skin since birth, and at times they thought it might be eczema. He always has rosy cheeks but they were particularly bad as a baby. Aquaphor on his cheeks every night helped tremendously... when he flares up we put it on more often.
